About the project
Healing Canopy integrates Kukama-Kukamiria traditional healing with Western medicine to create a culturally responsive Indigenous healthcare center along Peru’s Marañón River using vernacular materials, climate-responsive construction, and spiritual core to expand access to medical care and education while fostering trust, indigenous cultural preservation, and connection to the natural landscape.
