About the project
A waterfront recreational sports center where a single geometric language shapes the landscape, roof, structure, and transparent public spaces, framing the Olympic-sized natatorium as the building's civic, social, and spatial heart while reconnecting the community to the waterfront.
The proposal connects a Brooklyn waterfront site with new public green space and recreation. Triangular landforms extend the geometry of the building into the landscape, creating places to sit, gather, and look toward the water. Opposing sloped roof planes and a transparent enclosure give the central pool a strong visual connection to the surrounding spaces.
