The New York Council Board met Tuesday July 12th, Tuesday, August 2nd, and Tuesday, September 13th. 2006 election ballots were counted at the September 13th meeting and the following were elected as our 2006 officers: Pierre Guariglia, President; Adriana Garcia and Jeff Vandeberg Vice Presidents, Bob Firneis, Treasurer, and Matthew Usbeck, Scott Hoffman, Tim Maldonado, Ray Gomez, and Elliott Vilkas as Directors. The New York Council, in conjunction with Amtico International, hosted “An Introduction to Glass and Glazing” - a seminar by Marvin Windows on Tuesday, August 16th. The seminar provided 1 HSW continuing education hour and was complimented by a networking hour, complete with a breakfast bar. 16 SARA members and “friends of SARA” attended the seminar. The New York Council held the Annual Golf Outing at the Westchester Hills Golf Club on September 27th. Over 80 people were in attendance for a beautiful day of golf. John Scheschareg, golf committee chair, and key committee members Bob Firneis and Pierre Guariglia, put on a terrific show and everyone who attended had a great time. Special thanks to our Pennsylvania Council friends, spearheaded by Ron Knabb, who joined us for the event.
