Society of American Registered Architects
Presents 19 National Design Award Winners


A total of 19 professional design awards were presented to 12 architectural firms in the 2001 competition sponsored by the Society of American Registered Architects (SARA). The awards were presented Friday, October 19th at a banquet dinner at Sammy’s Restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio during the Society’s 46th Annual Convention.

The jury session was held in Pleasantville, New York on August 17th at the offices of The Savin Group with Robert Firneis, FARA presiding. Esteemed jurors included Augustin L. Maldanado, Registered Architect and Professor of Architecture and Chairman of the Architectural Department of the N.Y. City Technical College of the City University of New York, David G. Moore, New York Registered Architect and Suzette Stoler, American Registered Architect at Gensler Associates in New York.

The Society’s 2002 Professional Design Awards Program information will be available for distribution early next year with awards announced in October 2002 at the 46th National Convention in San Antonio, Texas at the La Mansion Del Rio Hotel.
