The Gold Medal Award is presented to members whose extraordinary service and dedication to the profession and the Society merits this type of recognition. Not more than two of these honors may be awarded annually. In 1956-59, awards were given by Founder, Wilfred J. Gregson at the First Assembly of the Society in Kansas City, Missouri. Successive Gold Medal Awards are awarded yearly by the President of the Society.
